"Nicolae Frunteș" ethnographic, olympic and contemporary art museum

"Nicolae Frunteș" ethnographic, olympic and contemporary art museum from Şirnea was established in 1964, its founder, after whom it was named, setting up the museum with the desire to organize the first tourist village in Romania which was actually accredited in 1968.

During the first four years of its existence, the museum was hosted by the local school, then it was moved to the building of the former municipality hall...

Codlea Traditions Museum was established in 2016 touching multiple themes such as ethnography, history, numismatics, painting, archaeology, documents, old books and communist industry.

The museum is sheltered by a historical building from the 18th century, which used to be the town hall, and is organized on three floors: basement, ground floor and first floor, displaying six permanent exhibitions and a temporary one.

Făgăraș County Museum "Valer Literat"

Făgăraș County Museum "Valer Literat" was founded in 1923 and since 1973 is sheltered by Făgăraş Citadel, a building which has evolved over several centuries, the current fortification being preceded by a wood and mud structure, which was burned down during the Tatar-Mongol invasion in 1241.

Făgăraş Citadel includes a quadrilateral castle, with an irregular shape, with four towers in the corners and a fifth one on the north side, and the bastion fortress, with the gate tower and four bastions

The History Museum of Sighisoara was founded on June 25th, 1899, by Dr. Josef Bacon and is housed in the Clock Tower, the symbol of the city which, together with the entire citadel, has been an integral part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1999.

"Anton Badea" Ethnographic Museum

"Anton Badea" Ethnographic Museum was established in 1960 after the decision of the People's Council, by the one who is named after, an ethnographer passionate about popular culture who started with a collection of 64 items of traditional clothing.

The building housing the permanent exhibition is a historical monument from 1892 having eight rooms dedicated to the museum.
